Gold Rush draw Dalton State in SSAC tournament Opening Round

The Xavier men's soccer team is off to Georgia for the opening round of the 2026 Southern States Athletic Conference Tournament.

XULA (8-5-2, 6-3-2 SSAC) enters the tournament as the 5-seed and will travel to 4-seed Dalton State on Friday for a match that will begin at 4:30 p.m. CST.

Earlier this season, the Gold Rush defeated Dalton State 2-0. But the Roadrunners (10-4-3, 7-3-1 SSAC) are a team rich in tradition, having earned their way to five consecutive NAIA national championship finals-site tournaments and were the winner of the 2024 NAIA national championship.
