3 XULA athletes earn RRAC T&F weekly awards

WACO, Texas (April 20, 2026) – Monday, the Red River Athletics Conference announced the three XULA athletes had earned a player of the week honor for April 13-19. The four RRAC Track and Field Athletes of the Week were as follows:
  • Field (Women): Charity Johnson from Xavier (La.)
  • Track (Women): Jade Harris from Xavier (La.)
  • Field (Men): Mansur Ali from Xavier (La.)
  • Track (Men): Desroy Jordan from Texas A&M-Texarkana

This is the sixth set of Men's and Women's Track and Field Athletes of the Week.

RRAC Women's Field Athlete of the Week – Charity Johnson – Xavier (La.)


XULA sophomore Charity Johnson placed third in the discus throw at the Strawberry Relays sponsored by Southeastern Louisiana. Her 41.78m mark was among 11 participants.

Johnson is a native of Framingham, Mass.

RRAC Women's Track Athlete of the Week – Jade Harris – Xavier (La.)


At the Strawberry Relays sponsored by Southeastern Louisiana, senior Jade Harris took first place in the 100m hurdles with a mark of 14.76. She competed against six other athletes.

Harris is a native of Sugar Land, Texas. This is her third track athlete of the week honors.

RRAC Men's Field Athlete of the Week – Mansur Ali – Xavier (La.)


XULA sophomore Mansur Ali came in second out of 13 athletes in the hammer throw. His mark was 54.16. Southeastern Louisiana hosted the Strawberry Relays.

Ali is a native of Pike Road, Ala. This is his second field athlete of the week honors.

RRAC Men's Track Athlete of the Week – Desroy Jordan – Texas A&M-Texarkana


TAMUT freshman Desroy Johnson took first place in the 400m at the Jim Mize Invitational. He competed against 25 athletes and marked a time of 46.50.

Johnson is a native of Saint Vincent in the Caribbean.
