Women's 4X100 finishes 17th in prelims

ASHEVILLE, N.C. - XULA's women's 4X100 relay team put together a season-best effort but was not able to break into the event finals at the NAIA Outdoor Championships here Wednesday.

The quartet of London Provo, Charieon Doxley, Rochelle Jeffries, and Jaelyn Mitchell ran a 46.66, which was not only Xavier's best effort but the 18th-best run in the NAIA and 26th-best among HBCUs in 2026. The run was good enough for 17th in the NAIA meet, but only the top 8 teams proceed to the finals.

The Gold Nuggets will be represented in one more event this year. Thursday at 1 p.m. Central, Jeffries, Doxley, and Jade Harris will all run in the 100-meter hurdles.
