MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The SSAC announced Monday that XULA keeper Lenno Schmidt had been named Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week for the second week of the season. 
 
Schmidt, a sophomore transfer student-athlete from Hamburg, Germany, and the University of Rhode Island, delivered a four-save shutout in a 1-0 victory over 12th-ranked LSU-Shreveport. He also had the assist on the game-winning goal

This was Schmidt's first career SSAC weekly honor.
