• One of the leaders of the renaissance of XULA men's basketball during the early 1970s
• Played two seasons at XULA (1971-73) before turning pro with the Utah Stars of the American Basketball Association
• Averaged 22.2 points and a school-record 13 rebounds in 53 XULA games
• In a 67-60 upset of top-seeded and unbeaten Sam Houston State in the second round of NAIA nationals on March 14, 1973, in Kansas City, Mo., Seals produced XULA's first triple-double: 32 points, 10 rebounds and 12 blocked shots, the latter still a school record
• As a sophomore (1972-73) he was first-team NAIA All-America and first-team Little All-America . . . that same year he became the only Gold Rush player to earn first-team All-Louisiana
• One of his Gold Rush teammates was Donald "Slick" Watts, also a 2022 XULA Athletics Hall of Fame inductee
• Played five seasons (1973-78) in the ABA and NBA, then played professionally in Europe
• Averaged 8.9 points and 4.2 rebounds in 348 combined ABA-NBA games
