Association of Basketball Coaches
• 17 points, six assists, four steals in XULA’s 82-79 upset of Georgetown (Ky.) on March 15, 2007 — the only Gold Rush victory at NAIA nationals between 1973 and 2021
• As a freshman in 2004-05 he led NAIA Division I in steals with 106 and was No. 2 in steals per game with 3.1
• As a basketball head coach after XULA, he led the boys of Crescent City Christian (Metairie) to five consecutive LHSAA state championship games (2017-21) and won three of them (2017, 2020, 2021)
• Started the Shaun Dumas Academy, a national prep school, in the fall of 2021, and coached the boys to 25-7 record and a regional championship the first year . . . Then in 2022-23 he coached the team to a record of 29-8 and a national semifinal appearance . . . 15 players from the 2022-23 team were scheduled to join college rosters in 2023-24
