•  The only XULA basketball player to average 10 points, six rebounds and five assists per game in a season . . . Loyd averaged 11.1 points, 6.5 rebounds and 5.1 assists as a senior in 1985-86
•  Three-year starter who played for XULA and Coach Denny Alexander from 1982-86 . . . Gold Rush were 80-24 (.769) overall and 44-10 (.815) in the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference during Loyd's tenure
•  President and co-founder of Georgia-based South Coast Paper, an industry leader in paper converting, marketing and sales
•  Previously employed by Champion International Paper, where he advanced to become the first African American national sales manager in the company's more-than-100-year history
•  Received a bachelor of arts degree in marketing from XULA and a master's in business administration from Case Western Reserve University
•  One of four Loyds to play basketball at XULA . . . Kenny's brothers Khris (1987-90, 1991-92) and Kraig (1995-99) also played, as did Khris' son, William (2018-20) . . . Kenny's daughter, Tayler, was a XULA men's basketball student manager
