•  Suggested that XULA's first women's basketball team of the Title IX era be called the Gold Nuggets; the name stuck
•  A 5-foot-10 guard/forward who played for XULA from 1977-81
•  Statistics from the 1977-78 season are incomplete . . . Williams scored 1,079 points (15.2 per game) and grabbed 520 rebounds (7.3 per game) in 71 games during her final three seasons (1978-81)
•  As a senior (1980-81) she averaged 15.7 points, 7.3 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 1.7 steals in 27 games for Coach Dale Valdery's 22-5 team that won the NAIA District 30 championship and advanced to the NAIA Southwest regional tournament
•  That 1980-81 team produced 12 victories against teams now playing in NCAA Division I: Louisiana-Lafayette (twice), Nicholls (twice), North Texas (twice), Tulane (twice), Alcorn State, Oakland, Southeastern Louisiana and Southern
•  As a junior (1979-80) she led the Gold Nuggets with 16.7 points and 8.7 rebounds per game
•  She was the first of four Gold Nuggets to produce 400 points, 100 rebounds and 100 assists in a season
•  Founder, chief executive officer and executive consultant of KEDE Educational Business . . . She works with school districts, leaders, teachers, community organizations and parents by providing executive-level consulting and inspirational training, seminars and workshops
